Sometimes transliterated as: Satarudriya, Zatarudriya, shatarudriya
Japa or repetition of Vedic mantras or passages is said to purify a person. One of such well-known passages is the Rudra or the Rudrādhyāya. Since the Yajurveda has 102 śākhās or recensions and since this Rudra appears in all of them, it has been designated as Śatarudriya also.
