Aṃśalaḥ literally means one who has a muscular shoulder.

Aṃśalaḥ derives from the word aṃśaḥ.

Aṃśalaḥ as per Ramānātha[edit]

Ramānātha says in the commentary on the Amarakośa that the word means ‘a strong person’.
