Kuzhal mannam Lakshmi Narayana Temple
Kuzhalmannam is a small way side town on the National Highway NH7 between Palakkad and Thrissur about 20 KM from Palakkad.
Situated in the heart of the 'agraharam' which houses the Brahmin community, this ancient temple is considered as a jewel for its beautiful workmanship. The entrance to the temple is through a Mukha Mantapam. The carving of GajaLakshmi, the pillars and various scroll work on the ceiling give it an elegant look.
When we enter the temple, the non-stop Nama Japa "OM NAMO NARAYANAYA" emanating from the temple welcomes the devotees and gives them solace and peace.
The main Prathishta is Lord Narayana along with His consort Lakshmi, the goddess of plenty and prosperity. Here Lakshmi is seen sitting on Lord Narayana's left thigh. Lakshmi Narayana Swami the presiding deity of this agraharam temple has been showering His blessings on his devotees without fail. He bestows 'Santhanabhagyam' on His devotees (meaning blessings for begetting children).
The floors of the Namaskara Mantapam are built in white marble. The temple SreeKovil wears a decorated look with Granite flooring. The front side of the SreeKovil, Sopanam and Sreekovil doors are covered with beautifully designed brass sheets. Sreekovil doors have Ashtalakshmi figures carved there.
