Sādhus
From Hindupedia, the Hindu Encyclopedia
By Swami Harshananda
Sometimes transliterated as: Sadhus, SAdhus, Saadhus
Sādhus literally means ‘the good persons’ or ‘the holy persons’.
Though the word ‘sādhu’ actually means a good person, in common parlance it is used to indicate a sanyāsin or a religious mendicant.
