Sometimes transliterated as: Amhaspati, AMhaspati, Amhaspati
Aṃhaspati literally means ‘lord of sins’.
An intercalary month, especially the kṣayamāsa (the lunar month omitted for adjustments of the calendar) is called ‘aṃhaspati’ in the Vedas.[1]
