Sometimes transliterated as: Hasta, HastA, Hastaa

Hastā literally means ‘nakṣatra’.

In astronomy, it is the 13th nakṣatra or asterism. The stars of this nakṣatra are:

  1. Delta
  2. Gamma
  3. Epsilon
  4. Alpha
  5. Beta corvi

A person born in this asterism belongs to the devagaṇa (group of gods) and its influence is beneficial.
